I guess that front row lineup annoyed more than one old side-screen fart?

Hi Odd
To be honest it was a friendly type 'do' if we did get up the noses of people they were polite about it! Only had one bad comment i heard when a gent was telling someone else how much he disliked the 7 and then spent 15 minutes looking over 'something ' he did'nt like Bizzare!
Either passed or got passed by several older TR's on the way home and got a wave from them all, even had breakfast with a TR6 owner, but keep that to yourself!! we were the first 2 there!

Just been on The TR Register Forum and it was mentioned how good it was to see so many TR7/8/V8's, also pictures of Paul W , Rob, Ian, Zoe and myself on there [:I]

Just woke from a long sleep after nearly 40 hours sleep deprivation!
Good to finally meet Zoe and Steve and all the usual suspects.
Shame i could'nt stay longer but the drive home with Ian and Rob was
great-all those tunnels and flyovers on the north circular to amplify
the Grinnalls exhaust!I might try to get to the 'ACE' on the tuesday
meet too.

See ya',Paul.

Just Got home,

A fantastic weekend. A great drive to the Ace and a mega breakfast, then as Paul said all of those tunnels and bridges on the North Circular with the sound of three very different V8s!!![:D]
Then, 24hrs of Le Mans and drink and BBQ - not quite the same as being there (first time I have missed out in quite a while) especially now that Peugeot have hit their target - I expect that there will be some great parties in France on the strength of that!

Good job Im not working at the moment, I will be able cath up with some sleep.

Cheers
Ian

It was good to put some names to the faces at long last. John picked the most flattering angle for my V8 so thanks for that, it's in my signature.

A Rover V8 engined TR6 looked immaculate and had an unusual steering shaft. At least one extra U/J was fitted and it passed through the exhaust manifold. Apart from some louvres on the bonnet (what model of TR was that borrowed from?) it looked outwardly standard.

A good Wedgefest early on and I think 7V8's may have outnumbered the 2.0L at times. Nice breakfast followed by too much sunshine outside and a red face later on. Driving back from my parents (put that Aftersun away)in St Albans late afternoon proved troublesome. The engine refused to idle and there was a strong smell of petrol. The needle valve in the secondary float chamber wasn't closing and was flooding the carb. 5 minutes saw it removed, blown through and returned to work again. Must have been a bit of crud.
