Rear spoilers

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Earlier in this thread, Mickey offered me a spoiler that he had removed from his TR7. Well, he sent it to me for free and just asked that I pay for the postage. He even sent it without asking for payment up front! It arrived this afternoon and is in great shape! Mickey is a helluva guy - thanks!

The car hobby needs more people like Mickey!

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Thanks, Aaron - and YOUR check is in the mail! [:D]

Seriously, I'm not in this to make money. The spoiler was sitting in the corner of the shop, and I had no use for it, as I'm eventually putting a luggage rack on mine. Glad to help someone who can use it. I've been the recipient of similar kindnesses; just passing it on.

Tim,

I haven't forgotten the black door lights, I just haven't been able to go out to the garage for a while. When this foot thing gets right, they will be in the mail.

Ok, you guys have been very helpful with my previous questions (thanks!) so I'll try again. The back of my TR7 has a chrome luggage rack that I'll probably remove. I'd like to put on a rear spoiler or perferably, a rear wing to make it more sporty looking.
For you guys that have rear spoilers, what donar car did yours come from? I've looked online at lots of pics and the low setting wing from what looks like a 1980's Firebird looks pretty good (I'm guessing that's where it came from, the owner has not responded to my email question) - anyone using one of those?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not thinking of putting one of those ricer aluminum wings on my TR7 unless I can find one that has 3 levels and sits up about 4 feet, then I could use it dry laundry :).

For others that are thinking of spoilers, mine is from an early eighties firebird/camaro. It does make the lid heavy, but also a bit sassy.[;)] (my photos)

Yah, but then you're going to have to soup up your V8 to 330hp to 360hp to get it up there.
