Excellent -and do you find the green stuff pads wear is acceptable ?

Its only a guess, as I havn't measured the things, but I'd say my
pads are about half worn, or a little more, at 40,000 Km.

My driving is mostly fairly light on brakes. In this "Nanny" state
of Queensland, Oz, we keep reducing the speed limits, until its
hard to find a corner you can't go around at well above the speed
limit. Perhaps that saves the incompetent, from themselves, but I
think that most people, who run off our roads have done so because
they went to sleep, in sheer boredom.

At least it saves our brake pads, as we don't have to use them
often, out here in the bush, where I live.

.. you do not have many mountains like we in Switzerland .. If you drive sportive the brakes are near limit so .. it's just a bolt on to change why not stop earlier, in this traffic today - (keep it original - that's good) but safety is better - just my thoughts

Beans, skippy tends to stay well clear of the roads, during the day,
when us old blokes are out & about. They can be a real pain on the
roads around dusk, & then again, in the early hours of the morning,
these being their favored feeding times.

Frank, I have to drive about 100Km to get to any hilly, twisty road,
which is not restricted to 60Km per hour, to protect me from myself.
As for traffic, when I am forced to go into the city, for some reason, I usually take the old Toyota. Any new scratches on it are hard to find, amoung all the old ones, so I don't care, & the city drivers tend to give me a bit more room, if not respect, when I drive it.

Does anyone have the Rimmer Bros big brake kit? The one with the 4 pot calipers. I bought one some years ago but it's still in the boxes. Decided to wait till I get the car back up & running before I install it. Just curious as to any other impressions and what needs to be done regaurding the brake bias. I have the stock LHD TR8 brake booster & master.
