We plan to get onto the Stoneleigh Lodge in the next few days to see if we can do a club booking. Please add your names on this thread if you fancy stopping with us all.

The TR Register shop online is now open for bookings for different events for the Saturday and Sunday.
No skid pan on the Saturday. [:(]
High speed circuit and tarmac rally road available. [:)]

I think we already knew about the Register shop being open for bookings Chunk but that is not for the Stoneleigh Lodge. The idea is I plan to get onto the Lodge to see if we can get a group deal. As it is already half the cost of the site hotel but only a few minutes down the road we can't lose really. It will be great to see the Lodge car park full of wedges and all able to travel to the events in convoy. That should be quite a site.

Anyway, I hope to get onto sorting this shortly so keep checking in.

I've just spoken to the Stoneleigh Park Lodge (Tel: 024 7669 0123) and they are offering us £80 per night for a double room including full english breakfast so it's somewhat better than the rates at the main hotel i.e about £50 less per night.

To book all you need to do is call the Lodge (number above) and say you're staying as part of the TR Drivers Club booking on any of the nights you require (17th/18th/19th May).

Just booked a double room for ourselves on the 17th and 18th. They have twin rooms available for anyone taking their son rather then the wifey.

Reading other triumph forums they are really trying to push the attendance for this event. In 1998 when they did the 75th there was over a 1000 Triumph cars in attendance. I'm guessing 700 would be a good figure nowadays.

Point of note the Dolomite Sprint is 40 years old in 2013 and just reading their forum someone on there doesn't think they can get 40 cars together to celebrate it. I hope we aren't in that position in 2015 or 2016 for UK (whichever is appropriate?,) when we celebrate our 40th.

John,

I agree getting 40 cars for the anniversary year of the 1975 TR7 year. I suggest only a handfull of these cars still surviving in the UK now.

Jim, they are talking 40 Dolomite Sprints in total not just 73 registered cars.

As for 75 built TR7s in the UK there is no chance of getting anymore than single figures by 2015.

We're booked in at the Stoneleigh Lodge John. I did arrange a TR Drivers Club group with them but I don't know if anyone else took up the offer with them. About half the cost of the host hotel which is only a few miles up the road.

Vernon Brannon is coming over from North Carolina. Vernon has the biggest Triumph collection I have ever seen with the most common models (in double figures I think) being the TR7/8. His collection includes Ken Slagle's TR8 Roadster race car which we reunited him with last month.

Only a couple of weeks to this one now.
I am going to Gaydon on the Sunday and CT has kindly asked me to display my Sprint on the TR Drivers Club Stand.

I am also up for a meet/get together on the Saturday teatime/early evening/pub/drive if anyone is staying over or interested? Let me know if we can get an informal meet up? Unless you're going to the "Gala Dinner" of course?
