BL / BMC Show and Spares Day , Peterborough

Postby Wayne S » 03 Aug 2008 21:12

Had a nice day out again at the BL / BMC Show and Spares Day at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough today. Good turn out of cars and traders and low and behold I managed to park next to another Grinnall! Didnt get to speak to the owner but know the car well from TRDC events.

Bought the car a new old stock set of Rover SD1 Vitesse brake shoes for £12 the pair - bargain [:D]

Very nice. The lack of decent car events is the one thing I that makes me regeret going back to NZ.

What is that 3rd beast in pic 1. It looks like it has a superleggera tube frame chassis and a driver that knows a thing or two about speed.

There is only 1 Grinnal that I know of in NZ. It was Green & known as Kermit & used to a regular in events in the North Island but lives in Dunedin now. I bought its front suspension a year ago so I don't know if it still in one piece.
