Door cards

My tr7 v8 is a 1981 but it has the round button pushdown locks. I am thinking of replacing the door cards. Im guessing i need the squarer buttons to fit - can i fit the square buttons to the existing to the existing push rods.

Not sure about the push rods but I understand you will need to modify the recess on the door skin. I know this replacement is covered in detail in one of the Books about improving / maintaining TR7's but I don't have access to mine at the moment. supercass
