Sun visors.

Postby supercass » 07 Mar 2015 15:42

Hi.,

It seems increasingly unlikely that tan sun visors are going to be available. Has anyone found a suitable non original easy to fit alternative of a colour that vaguely resembles tan? supercass

Have you got any filling left in your visors superclass?

Mine resemble 2 empty hot water bottles kept in shape by the internal wires.

All the filling has gone soft, presumably to dust, busheytrader. the vinyl though seems in good order apart from some slight sun fading. Have read your workshop manual entry, Mildred but I somehow doubt I have the dexterity or patience to carry out this task adequately. supercass

Please, my friend. Be not a Negative Nellie. Just follow the photos down the yellow brick road with your razor blade, vacuum cleaner, sponges, Super Glue and a small vanity mirror. All you need is a dose of confidence to fuel your inner gumption.

I plan to do this but I can't find the right size vanity mirror. They're either too big or too small. Still looking.

I have tried to get some new black ones, but there does seem to be none around anywhere. For the moment with my new black inertia I think I will just have to keep with the old ones and keep them up.

This is something that I will need to do in the not too distant future, but on starting to look into it I found this article below.

Hope it helps and works !
