Should be a good one if Alex is involved.

I'm really looking forward to this one but as per usual, looks like us colonials will have to wait & pray that Foxtel picks this one up, hopefully displacing some of the unbelievable rubbish masquerading as car shows that Foxtel is showing just now.
Unfortunately for us ex pats, channel 5 geoblocking means we can't watch it online.

Scotty, can you use the VPN (virtual private network) trick to fool Channel 5 in to thinking you are in the UK? Don't ask me how its done but I know a lot of folks use it for TV overseas. Its not illegal and you must be able to find out more from some computer types.

If you're an expat working or living oversea, have you thought about a slingbox?

http://uk.slingbox.com/go/products

It needs to be in a friends or relatives house in the UK and connected to at least a freeview aerial and broadband connection. You can then watch live UK TV on a laptop anywhere you can get a broadband connection.

I worked overseas for 18 months and it enabled me to watch Champions League football and other stuff live.

Mmmm. A couple of good ideas in that lot. A VPN might be the easiest option but the smartphone apps could be a goer, especially the on demand ones rather than the live tv ones. I'd never even heard of the Slingbox. Mind you in Oz, we always seem to be behind the rest of the world when it comes to new technology. Thanks guys.
