More on door glass seal

Postby nick » 23 Jul 2013 22:46

Purchased new seals for the FHC. I think they came from Victoria British. However the tag said they were made in the UK. Regardless they are rubbish. Whilst fitting them, cutting trimming and so forth, the felt started coming off the seal. So I thought who needs it anyway? The answer is we all need it. Without it the felt seal sticks to the window making cranking difficult and on the way down the seal gets pulled into the channel. So I glued it back on and installed the seals. But I don't think that felt will last a months worth of use.

Sometimes you just have to be your own Quality Control Department and Final Step Manufacturing LLC.
