Coupe vent grills

My TR7 is having it's patina rmoved at the moment (read being painted). The vent grills are suposed to be held by four 't' headed bolts. One side had 2 still intact, the other had two drywall anchors holding it somewhat in place. What have other resourceful owners done to keep these in place. Ideas are welcome.

You can still buy the T bolts & nuts, it would be worth using the correct parts when you put it back together.

If you can't find them over there, I am sure I have seen them listed for sale by the UK specialists. Rimmers have them on their site, note that as well as the T bolt & nut, there should be a spacer, sealing washer, spring washer & plain washer! There should also be two rectangular fabric flaps under each grille which I guess are there to prevent water ingress.

[Workshop Help]

Please pardon my slightly hijacking the thread, but, yesterday I had cause to once again wish there was a porthole there instead of the blind spot blanking off that huge white pickup pulling a trailer. You would think after 35 years I should have gotten used to contorting my head to find the hidden traffic bearing down on me.

I do hope I'm not heading into a bad luck spell for the next few days. Perhaps hiding under the covers isn't such a bad idea.
