Postby jclay (RIP 2018) » 27 Feb 2012 12:19

<font color="red"><i><b><font size="5">
IF YOU WANT ANYTHING FROM MY WEBSITES, GET IT NOW!!</font id="size5"></b></i></font id="red">

I am trying to set things in order so that the information will still be available, but it is going to take a lot of work and time.

One of the reasons I won't have anything to do with Apple. Surprising how often they misstep considering their on point designs. When they brought out their Final Cur Pro X (64 bit version of 32 bit Final Cut Pro 9), it wasn't backward compatible (80% of movie industry uses it), meaning past and current production obsolete. It was no longer a professional program and was useless to them. It was now a closed system so no third party programmers allowed. The industry was in an uproar. My nephew who made a good living (has a house in California and one on Lake Como, Italy) could no longer make plug ins for it. When being one of the first pointing out it's fault's on line Apple derided him as they gave him a good living in the past and he should be thankful for that. They wanted that for themselves but need years to bring it up to that point, leaving the industry out to dry. My nephew does the software for Canon's 2000 frame per second movie camera but they basically cut him off at the knees. I haven't talked to him for a while about business and don't know what steps Apple's taken on their feux pas but it's another example on their arrogance.

Enough Apple bashing for one day.[:p]

We are about to move the Technical Articles to the TWOA website. I was given permission, even encouraged, by Jay to publish the articles on my website.

We need permission to publish the articles on the TWOA website. If you wrote one of the articles that is posted on my website, please drop me an email letting me know you opinion of the move.

Thanks!

Voice of Will Robinson's robot....Dead at 85.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/26/arts/television/dick-tufeld-robot-voice-in-tvs-lost-in-space-dies-at-85.html

Dick Tufeld, who possessed one of Hollywood’s most often-heard disembodied voices, especially from the 1950s through the 1970s, announcing or narrating television shows like “Voyage to the Bottom of the Seaâ€￾ and commercials for products like Mr. Bubble bubble bath and Gallo wine, but who was best known for his electronic intonations as the robot in the loopy science-fiction series “Lost in Space,â€￾ died on Sunday at his home in the Studio City section of Los Angeles. He was 85.

Instead of letting the sites disappear, is it possible that someone here could transfer all of your files to their website and you could do a re-direct to the new URL?
I would do it but I'm maxed out on allotted space.
