Door speakers

I know this is a trivial question for which I apologise. Being a bit of a stick in the mud I think the speakers that look best in the doors are the original ones. I have a mint set and have now accquired another set with a view to removing the speaker unit and installing some better quality speakers in the doors behind the original trims. Snag is I cant figure out how to remove the speaker from the casing. Both the metal front and the rear drip guard seem to be very well fixed but by no obvious or visible means. Anyone advise? I had wondered if that was the case. They are well glued if so. so looks like brute force. Will try and supply photo, but might be a bit beyond me. I get phased out when I don't see vinyl in HMV anymore! supercass

Done it, at least I have removed the face on my identical Radiomobile branded speakers as a trial run. They were indeed glued on. How times change though! When taken apart it was evident that they were beautifully made, with a solid perforated black plastic coated metal casing, a well made solid heavy duty integrated drip guard, heavy speaker magnet, heavy speaker chassis but a laughable feeble paper cone full range speaker, probably of the sort you would find in a 'Pound Shop' purchase today, if at all! It must have been of adequate quality 30 years ago, though!
