Duxford Today (lots of pictures)

Hi

Went along to The Triumph Forum Show today at Duxford today. About 350 + Triumphs there, so not a bad turn out for a windy Sunday. Always a great venue with fantastic museum to walk around, a few of the cars there -

















































































One of my favourite car due to the engineering involed [8D]










Talking of engineering how about this at the tank display, 5 six cylinder engines driving a common flywheel assembly [:p] [:0]-



And no visit to Duxford wouldnt be complete at looking at IMHO the sexiest plane in the world, -

Hi Odd,

My old college lecturer at Tech college was a tank mechnanic during WW 2 and he was always talking of this engine and its good to finaly see one in the flesh so to speak.

Having said that saw these today and they probaly sound better [8D]

Always good to see a Triton.

I saw some of the Northants Club Triumph cars there.

Did you catch up with Graham, Kevin or Rob at all.

Are you coming to the beer festival at the Tollemarche again this year ?

Good to see you again John,

great day loads of wedges,I spoke for some time with the blue fixed head - had the car from new - pretty much unrestored.

Was most impressed with the red monster on the "Register" stand shame I didn't get to look at the engine.

Didn't manage to sell my Le Mans Ticket

So If anybody wants an ACO entry ticket to Le Mans 24 Im open to offers.

Saw all the TR7s but did not see any owners, although you could not have been far away as you have me and my car in shot in photo #11. Have to admit spent most of the time indoors away from the wind looking at planes then watched the tank and armourd vehicle driving.

Thanks for that, it looks great.

At last I know what people are talking about when they have tried to describe the 7s tonneau cover. It doesn't look like the water would run off too well, & driving with it would be interesting.

What wheels are they on the gold V8 in photo 22.
Think they fill the arches very nicely, like them a lot [^].

they look almost like BBS wheels to me...
-imho the frt could be about 1 inch lower though for a perfect stance!!


I kinda like the tonneau cover btw...

Hi,

The wheels look like SD1 Rover Vitesse me, the car has 5 hubs and halfshafts -






I have one of those full tonneau cover but now unable to use it due to my roll over my hoop [B)]
