BL fender (wing) badges

didn't notice until I pried them off that I had two different badges on my '76 tr7.one has a silver background with blue swirl & script. the other one is the opposite. (think photographic negatives). which is correct, I'm wondering? I suspect one isn't original.[?]also am stumped on removal of windshield trim. gotta get it off for the repaint job, plus, it leaks a bit at the top edge. any assistance appreciated![:D]

Trim is heat "welded" into place when the rubber is set. (If you look closely around the edge of the rubber, you will see two tiny copper wires sticking out just a smidgen. These are used to heat the rubber and set it in place.) Tape the rubber really well and then paint.

If you have to remove the glass to repair the underlying edge, have a glass replacement specialist do it. It will be the best money you ever spent.

so it shall be- I live with the minor leak & leave that alone- doesn't sound like it's worth the hassle.[:0] on the bright side- upon my arrival home from work today, my front porch was cluttered with 2 boxes from Vic Brit containing a new exhaust system, motor gasket kits, & a bunch of front strut & sway bar rebuild bits-a new money pit has just been dug![:D]

thats why i got rid of my 2002 BMW coupe, new(ish) cars are too electronic for the home tinkler now and they are the money pits as you can be tied into a service contract.Love my TR V8 AND i can fix it myself properly(or i kill myself lol), just keep fettling and enjoying !![:p][:D]
