Adjustable Strut Tops.

Postby Stag76 » 30 Aug 2010 03:02

I'm considering fitting adjustable strut tops, but am looking for some feedback from those that have fitted them first. Did you think it was a worthwhile modification, and what did you find needed adjustment? Did the standard setup have too much or too little camber and caster? I have lowered springs and anti-dive blocks, both of which reduce the caster angle slightly.

Remove the three nuts holding the studs at the strut mount. Lower the wheel to pull the studs out of the holes in the body. Make the holes into equal length slots.

Put a fender washer on each stud, then raise the wheel making sure the studs go into the slots. Install a fender washer on each stud and loosely install the nuts.

Slid the mount in the slots until you get the camber you want then tighten the nuts. Check the camber again.
