Spen King (Charles Spencer King) has died aged 85 ...

A great loss of one of Britain's greatest motoring engineers.

As well as the TR7, I think Spen King was involved with the development of the Range Rover.

A touch of irony then that Land Rover announce 1,000 new jobs & the introduction of a new Range Rover model just days after his death. I didn't hear any mention of the great man's contribution to this world famous vehicle though.
