Syol, I'm not sure what you mean. Can I suggest that you ask your question in French and a Canadian may be able to translate. [:)]

My commiserations on your world cup team.

I think I know what you mean.

Are you talking about the bulges on the bonnet (hood)?

If that's the case, the single bulge bonnets were fitted to the early cars (Speke built, to 1979 or so?), the double bulge ones were fitted to the later cars (Canley/Solihull built, 1979 onwards). There's no real difference otherwise and they are interchangeable - unless you are fitting a V8, in which case you'll need the later type to clear the engine.

I hope that's what you meant! [:)]

I think the double bulge on the bonnet was introduced in 1979 to allow for the injection induction. Prior to this is was a single bulge.

Hope I have understood your question!

Je pense que le renflement double sur le capot a été introduit en 1979 pour permettre l'induction d'injection. Avant cela a été un renflement est unique.

J'espère avoir bien compris votre question!

Interesting observation as FI was supposedly an option in '79 about the same time the V-8 came (although rarely seen until mandated in California in mid 1980 by emissions) I think the carbs system stand more proud than the FI plenum.

I think even some late Speke cars had the double bulge hood in anticipation of the V-8.
