Roberts Sprint passed the MOT, will be taxed from Wednesday so will be at Billing at the weekend for the limited edition display. Also bringing ACN1080, Inca yellow TR8 FHC, fuel injection development car. Not seen at any show before. Should look good with the Inca yellow sprint and convertible.

I am staying in Bristol on Saturday night with family, so will be making my way up on Sunday morning. Is there anyone leaving at this time from Bristol area or on route that fancies a "convoy"?

He he Stevie - I'm lurking.....I will be there.

I took the TR to Le Mans and it was quite an eventful trip. I've got a few minor problems to sort out with the TR and the awful weather forecast as well as a few other visits in the UK means the TR wont make it again, so I'll be in regular transport.

So I'd like to book my place in your pasenger seat for the road run(s).

i won't be going on the Saturday run but would love to go on the shorter Sunday run.......just discovered a small leak from the water pump so don't want to go on a long drive but i guess the shorter sunday run should be allright ( iv'e never driven in a TR7 convoy ) sounds like a good crack.......

Apologies to those of you who have been expecting to see my wife's TR8 Drag Car at Billing, but unfortunately it won't be there. We've spent an awful lot of time on Bert's Le Mans car in recent months, at the expense of our own cars. Neither the Drag Car nor the road V8, KEH 2V, have yet been fully sorted, both having been in hibernation since 2006. There just isn't enough time to get all the minor jobs done on either car for Billing, nor to get them on the rolling road to check out and re-set. Most annoying, but you can't do everything. And I'm not hauling the beast up as a static exhibit.

Hence Plan B, which is the Spa Summer Classic instead. In many respects I'd rather be at Billing, but the Spa event is relevant in terms of being able to talk to organisers about future race opportunities for the Le Mans car. So that's the last-minute change of plan, I'm afraid. There'll be another time for the Drag Car with it up and running, but getting the LM car on the track asap is a major priority.

Cheers,

Alec

Well, I made it as far as Kent. Stopped on the way and picked up a crate of "Belgian Bottled Hospitailty" Need a way to get it a bit cooler though....Ingenious answers welcome....

Actually it was my wife's (yes, new word, back in my vocab again that one..LOL Since 2 weeks actually....) idea to do that - See, I married a good one this time around, or maybe the novelty factor is still there...
Staying with brother in Northampton on Friday night, so should be at Billing about lunchtime.
Mine will be the tent with the flag(s) over it.....and the Non TR infront. SNIF

Zoe

The forecast I have shows good weather over the weekend so you may not need your wellies yet.

Not tempting fate though.

How much cider is there ?

Stoppress...

Looks like I am coming, planning on driving up Friday. I am not bringing WAC or MYE but MEP.

MEP who? I hear you ask...

Well I placed a random bid on ebay (like you do) and now have another car. I think you'all find it interesting.

Unfortunately it is not possible to have it taxed by tomorrow as it still has the old style logbook. Frustrating as I have got it insured and it should have an MOT this afternoon.

Anyway.. I am planning on bringing this car rather than road-legal WAC so I will be confined to the showground all weekend unless some kind soul can offer me a seat on the road run(s).

See you there!

Steve
