I've got twin throttle cables on my car which connects to a twin spring Magard thingamyjig. I may have got entirely used to the feel of the throttle in my car but I have driven a lot of TR7s and TR8s in recent years and I have to say that I haven't noticed any difference even when the cars have been left hand drive and the throttle pedal is right up against the gearbox turret.

I think we need to get your car alongside some other TR7s we know are 100% right and check to see if there really is a difference.

Sounds like good plan. Any plan that involves lots of 7s together gets my vote.

One thing I remembered whilst driving the car over the last couple of days was that wearing shoes with heels was never as comfortable as trainers. I'm not sure I ever drove the TR long distance with anything other than comfortable trainers but it's possible shoes with heels would cause problems as they would in most cars for me. Soft soled trainers are the way to go.

No way John.

I spent a couple of months on a RN aircraft carrier in 1960, doing my carrier landing training, & the smell of unwashed pommy feet in rubber soled sandshoes, plimsolls I think they were called, [Dressed up to be called trainers today] is something I never want to smell again.

I wear work boots to drive my cars. They are the only thing wide enough for my feet to be comfortable for hours. They are elastic sided, like riding boots, & do have a rolled back on the heel similar to trainers, perhaps that helps. They are full leather & breath, which helps in hot weather.

I have only had a problem with a seat with shot front padding. It was with a knee, not ankle. When I had a couple of 12 hour drives in that car, I pinched a suitable scatter cushion from the lounge.

Sush :) I don't think that woman has found out where it went.

I have to be very careful wearing work boots, as I have in the past hit both pedals at the same time, and one time with catastrophic disasters Stupid 124 Sports
