I agree POL is a Birmingham registration identified by the O in the centre.
I had a pal who had a bicycle shop in Small Heath on the Coventry Road. Next door to his shop was a hairdresser who had just bought a brand new Triumph Spitfire (this is in the early 70's). Someone driving past saw the Spitfire, stopped entered her shop and bought her Spitfire for three times what she paid for it.
The guy who bought it was Jimmy Tarbuck and the Spitfire's registration was COM 1 C (COMIC).
Now and again we need a laugh.

Ha! Profiteering :lol: I wish someone would come in and offer me tree times what my number plates are worth :mrgreen: Mind you haven't anything that reads as good as that plate :D
