Why do you call them TR8 wheels?
They were standard fitment to TR7 DHC's sold over here in the NL.
So more TR7 than TR8 I'd say [:p]

Just check the shade of grey - those are not silver. And the design were done up for the TR8 originally
- although a desperate BL started to put them onto just about any Wedge in a try to increase sales.

Oh is that Carmichael's Garage Sticker in the back window from Edinburgh as I see you have a SC Registration. They had 3 Garages in Edinburgh in the 1980's ?

Yes indeed it is. The first owner was in fact Carmichael Baxter Ltd (the car was perhaps a demonstrator?) and the second keeper was "David A Hall Ltd" (Hall's of Broxburn - of Sausage fame!).

Oh - Love Hall's Scotch Pies which do travel well to the deep south of Yorkshire but given up on the Lorne Sausage as a heart attack on a plate for an old ex Pat[:D]

After refurbishing my own plastic hub caps, and powder coating my old rusty steel wheels; I'll go for the hub caps. However; when I win the lottery, I'll be on the hunt for some alloys!

When I got my car it had the original steel wheels and wheel trims but I acquired a set of alloys and changed. The old wheels and trims were just taking up space, but I noticed a bargain on new set of tyres and decided to get the wheels powder coated too. I also cleaned & polished the wheel trims and shined up my nuts[:I]

Unfortunately my nice shiney wheels are largely hidden by the wheel trims.

I'm surprised you haven't been arrested, driving around town with your nuts on display like that. [:D]
