non starting 2.0 litre 8 valve engine

Well after following all the ideas on the forum and looking over the Haynes manual again,
I lined up the marks with camshaft and made sure that the timing indicator pointed at 0
I took of the dizzy cap which revealed the rotor was pointing at the steering. Wheel (rhd) eventually got it to point at the last bolt on inlet manifold and it fired up !!

Sounded like a tractor though! Forgot to tighten up one of the down pipe nuts.

Runs ok with no smoke but shakes quite a bit.

Need to carbs set up though

Sounds just like me, common fault to us newbies LOL.
Well done. I also after using this forum, completely rebuilt the carbs and now great.
