Also the TR7 is a good size to pop into a normal domestic garage & work on.

I thought my wife's new Fiesta was a small until I stuck it in the garage while the TR is away on it's spring / summer holiday - it is larger than the TR7 which was a surprise & boy the TR7 is low compared to the Fiesta [:0]

Hextable to Hereford? Glasgow to Liverpool? A mere day trip over here and a short one at that. I had to travel 2,600 km round trip to get mine. And cross a border (Hadrian's Wall doesn't count).

Size wise (while wide) the biggest problem is finding it in the parking lot amongst all the modern econoboxes. Take your time finding one, the right one will fall in your lap. I think you will see more cars on the market as the weather gets better as people decide to sell them at a weather appropriate time to maximize price.

To reply to your original question: I am 6'2" and the 7 was the first car in recent memory that didn't demand that I put the seat in the rearmost position to be comfortable. My sons are 6'5" and 6'6" and they fit into the car with the seat all the way back. Headroom (in a DHC, mind you) is tolerable for them, more than fine for me. With the top up, I should add - before somebody starts getting smart.

Thanks for the replies, looks good that i will fit, really want DHC, have seen the blue one on ebay but just a bit out of my price range. I am regulary checking ebay, classic car sale sites so will keep my fingers crossed

You have to be careful of eBay as pictures always look better than real life and I suspect most cars are pretty rough on there. That being said that's were I bought my rust free Spider even though it was well over 1,000 km. away. Don't forget Craigs List or your local equivalents.
