I have gotten the "Is your TR8 a 4 cylinder or V8?" question from several parts guys. Then they always say something like "Wow, a V8 in that little thing? It must be fun."

My mother liked a particular mint. The big chains stopped stocking then, I could only get them at a small supermarket in a village 17 kilometers away. It is a nice drive, so I would wait for a nice day, & take the the 8.

One day, when I came out of the shop there was a bloke standing in the middle of the car park. The moment I started the car he came over. He said he had been waiting to find out what had made the beautiful rumble he'd heard a couple of minutes ago, but he had never thought it would be that little thing.

I had to show him the engine of course, & he said he wanted one. So do I. I wonder if my son will ever bring it back?
