If anyone is bringing a Speke built car which still has the original TR7 decal on the front I'd like to have a go at recreating a scene from the US press launch at Boca Raton. The idea I have is to park them in a line and film across the nose cones to give the impression of a bunch of early press cars lined up awaiting journalists. Anybody able to bring a car?

Also a message for Wayne... I'm not a particular fan of the Grinnall body styling but it would be nice to show a few of them on disc 2. How about getting three or four parked together from the early sort of conversion through your own and then the last of the line Volvo/Ford converted bodykits?

Thanks John. That's one then but I'm sure some other TRDC members will be there with theirs so please can we all get together to do a shoot?

Wayne, any chance we can do something in the ring together without the PA commentary? If not, perhaps we can assemble the cars before or after. It won't take long, probably only ten minutes. I'm talking about the Sunday cos' I can't make it on Saturday.

Hi John,

Was planning on taking my FHC but the first motion shaft bearing in on the way out big time judging by the noise its making and that she keeps jumping out of 4th, off work next week so will doing the right thing and sticking a four speed back in her ( a little different as will a overdrive box ) So will be in the DHC

Up there later today so hope to see you over the weekend and be great to meet up on Sunday, it looks like more of us will be there.

Cheers John

Well gotta say that was great fun today my first go at the autosolo probably need new tyres now :-) it's good to see all the old faces mingling around too

Those prize car however are way to shiny..

gave the public a treat of being over taken by and old 30yr old triumph on the way up and back

only 23mpg though but hey ho I think that's pretty good for the pounding it took today

great turnout of sevens parked everywhere well done lads

Really John? I didn't think there were many wedges there at all. Last year I think there were double the number of this year, mainly owing to Billing being cancelled I suppose.

But it was a very enjoyable day. Great to see everyone. We really should do this sort of thing more often.

This was taken Saturday afternoon on the quiter day, remember there was just as many car's doted around the camp site so you can probaly double the numbers shown here

Was great to catch up with everyone over the weekend, special thanks to 'our' Paul for a great Saturday evening, no thanks for the hangover Sunday morning though [:p] ' Our ' Wayne done a superb job on the microphone all weekend in the arena and the auto solo and prooved himself a font of knowledge on all things TR related. Mr Clancy had a copy of Bullet reloaded with him and this will be a MUST HAVE DVD for anyone with an intrest in our car's so make sure you get a copy when it is released, will be the best TR7/8 DVD ever I am 100% certain.

More pictures to follow later BUT non 7/8 car for me of the show was either of these two [8D]

A TR6 ' Shooting Break ' Estate [:0][:0]

And the stunning Italia [8D]

All in all a great weekend, Harrogate next year so make sure get there, those in the north will have no excuse [}:)]

Cheers John

I think the TR6 estate wagon is actually a better looking car than a standard TR6. What do others think?

The Italia is an undoubted beauty but I didn't think the grey colour flattered it. The silver example at STAR90 was a stunner. This just goes to show that even I am susceptible to colour, it's not just the wifey!

Primer grey? No Italian bodied car should be that colour.[:p]

Hi,

The Italia was found in 1981 at a old Triumph dealership, it and another car had never been registered [:0] Was sold to the first owner registered it then put it in his private collection, he then sold it to its new owner recently, the other car has as far people know never been registered !The whole Italia story is a very intresting one, I am sure my learned friend Mr Clancy or judging by this weekend Wayne could tell you more.

What ever way you look despite the colour a stunning styled car the interior is pure Italian, just about everthing on these cars is bespoke so restoring must be a nightmare not to mention £$£$3$ !!

I dunno John there were quite a few out by the tents as well as in the designated area and the odd few of the register events I have gone to there have been far fewer

Certainly the event up north 2 years ago I could count on one hand

so generally I think that we are seeing more but then I was only there for the day
