I'm sad to say me too, on the low usage.

The car was in getting the air conditioning fitted for almost 3 months. Then there was another 2 months for the panel beating & paint job. Then waiting for a new fuel tank, & fitting it, & now up to 3 weeks with the head problem.

I reckon it's down around 3000Km so far. I have not had it on a Triumph club run, since the air was fitted. Some who want to check the instillation, are starting to think it is just a tall story on my behalf.

Only 2946 miles between MOTs - most dissapointing as I have been to loads of club events - sadly the weather has made me take my Pug which has done nearly 30k this year!

Cheers

MOT today - only 630 miles but in my defence that was really only from 1st June to today when it was on the road [;)]
Goes back into the bubble after the weekend so that will be it until June 2013.

Only heart stop was the CO emssions - it was 0.07% too high & he was going to fail it [:0]

A quick rev to 3500 rpm with the valves bouncing off the bonnet & we settled at 3.34% & passed.
1st time I've had the new A4 Sheet of paper certificate - don't get much for your £30 now a days.

Treated it to some of new 20/50 Oil & a filter when we got home ready for the weekend bash in Leeds before putting PUD to bed for the winter.

Into the lions den with the MG Club but the Hospice is very good cause & hope it is well attended - just the way I like to show off the TR & bring in some funds for St-Gemma's

In three trips to Oregon this year, I covered about 1300 miles in my TR8. Due to recurring fuel pump issues, almost all of it was on my third trip that included the ATDI. I probably won't make it back to Oregon again this year, but hope to do better next year. I've only put about 500 miles on the TR6 that is parked in my garage here in Anchorage; I should still have another month or more of driving before the snow flies, though.

Not to worry, I've just read on the news that in ten years the ice will be gone in the Arctic so you'll soon be able to drive year 'round with the top down.[8D]

If you are travelling on the A64 have a look for the 2.5 litres of 20/50W which fell out the engine last weekend [:(]
Spin on filter alloy casing seal ring blew out lubricating the chassis & floor pans so one less job this winter.
Was wondering what the burning smell was when I got home & the trail of oil up the drive way.

Luckily no oil pressure light came on & when topped up no grinding noises so fingers crossed although it will have to wait until Nov to get fixed ( £2.40p fix ).

The Oil filter has always been tight when I change it so the removal must of disturbed the seals last week.
Seriously thinking of going back to the paper type now as room is tight in way of clutch pipe.

Just had the MOT on my 7 and noted that I had driven it 2,100 miles since last test, which surprised me - I didn't think I had used it that much!

Also just mot'd my 7, just over 6000 miles since the last mot which is more than I expected. Usually cover about 10k a year though.

Failed the mot - split on a steering rack gaiter and they didn't like the o/s front brake hose, advisory on the upper steering column joint.

Well my pre mot inspection wasn't that thorough.

The split on the gaiter is small and I could never tell when the old rubber hoses were past their best. I was planning the overall the steering column bushes before next summer.

At least the emmissions were fine, the intermitent o/s rear fog light and fog light telltale worked.

Got the parts from the local motor factor and plan to replace the parts on Sunday. Going for rubber hose again for now because I dont want to mix and braided hoses will happen when I upgrade the brakes.

Hope I have enough tools here as 1/2 of them are 50miles away with the Spitfire rebuild at the moment.

Spitfire is due for an mot next Wednesday and the 7 put to bed for the winter then.

Hmmm....Im'a gonna guess only a couple hundred on mine so far this summer [:p]
Seems as I have it just about how I like it, cosmetically and mechanically. I look at it, sit in it, touch it, then jump on my motorcycle and goooooo. [8D]
Tho, I will be using her for some (sea)shore trips before the cold weather is back!! [}:)]
