Head Rest Foam

Postby lgray001 » 27 Jan 2017 03:15

I'm recovering my seats and although I've purchased new seat foam, I can't find foam for the headrests and the ones I have are shot. Does anyone have a source?

Thought they were listed on Rimmers et al at about £30 a seat. New headrests about £70 each iirc. supercass

I went to local auto upholsterers and bought for a few bucks (they wouldn't give, have to make some money I guess) a piece of foam to wrap around the plywood support in the head rest. Happy with result. I put the covers on backwards so they look like they are put in the seat backwards (as pointed out in forum) but they're not. Separates out the ANORAKs. 8)

James Paddock (U.K. supplier) is listing them for the earlier models at £24.50 (+VAT for EEC buyers). I don't know what postage would work out at. supercass

I purchased a pair of headrest foams from Robsport two years ago. Fitted one of them and it's fine.

Be aware there are large and small headrests. Not sure of the year split but suspect the large ones are the '81's on.

Guys,

Thanks for the input.

I ended up purchasing a pair of headrest cushions for Stag & TR7 that are supposed to fit my FHC.

FYI

The size differences are between the TR7 FHC and DHC. 2.0 for FHC & 2.5 for DHC.
