New throttle linkage on eBay

Postby Spike » 30 Apr 2017 09:49

i know a number of us have done this already by buying the bits etc..., and it looks like you can get all the bits ready to go now.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352022927502? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Seems a fair price, think i paid about the same for all the bits separately.

regards

Graham

Looks good but I may be missing something. What is the direct benefit of these.

it takes out the wear/play of the bent bit of wire/linkage and gives a nicer throttle action. I did it on mine as the throttle action was a bit stiff at light peddle pressures and it does improve things. Saying all that I'd check/replace the throttle cable first if it's a problem.

I fitted one to mine, based on Beans suggestions & someone elses recommendations of the particular part.

It fitted first time and was a good replacement for the worn wire link, so I suggested the supplier also listed it as a TR7 replacement part for anyone else. Good to see it has been spotted.

I enquired about buying one from them. The cost of p&p to Sydney was going to be the same as what the product was. Think that is a bit high, so currently in talks to try and bring that down a bit.

If you can't get the price down have a look for 'Weber Throttle Linkage Rod 52mm'. You'll need to trim the rod down a bit but you might be able to get it local.

I think this is what I actually used on mine.
