Rimmers (sorry Steve/Rick)

Postby paulheritage » 18 Oct 2013 20:02

I was pretty busy yesterday and got a call from my mechanic to say the half-shafts were damaged on the spare 4-speed axle, so decided I needed new ones. Anyway, I'd also been alerted that Rimmers were 'selling off' new 4-speed axle casings so I decided to place an order for the items at 3.30pm with next-day delivery so I could rebuild the axle over the weekend.

Turns out that they have a cut-off of 2pm for next-day deliveries but they don't tell you this, and happy to accept next-day delivery prices even though they can't fulfill.

I was pretty peeved today after taking a day off work to receive delivery, that my order was only despatched today.

Their website doesn't even mention 2pm cut-off.
