A lot of work/money in the car but simple inexpensive things like original paint on brass tank, corroded alternator etc. left untouched to detract from the rest of car. I don't get it.

Maybe because some people just like to drive their car , and don't feel the need to polish every nut and bolt??

This car is so right for all the good reasons [8][8][8]

Battery box is not original, commonly found at your local marine supply (used for small boats) and sometimes at the RV dealer

I like her, in fact like a lot [8D], try and build one yourself with the same spec for that money, let alone if you have to pay someone to do it for you.

Something I have learned after moving to the SE that i didn't know in Seattle.
Aluminum looks ugly here in about 3 months.
I guess I will have to start ceramic coating all that too.

Something else interesting on that nice car. 5 lug rear bolt pattern.

That can be true if left untreated. Case in point the alternator and valve cover in my Toyota which has been sitting for 7-8 months. But when I had the stuff out of the right side on the Spider in winter of 2006/2007 I had the alternator apart to check the brushes and clean the commutator, I hand polished the aluminum with a little Wicked Metal Polish along with brackets and AFM and it turned out like chrome. Still that way 6 years later. Had one guy ask me if I had them chromes this summer.

It's the little things that make a difference in detailing. Don't register directly but the over all impression is affected. Good job for the rainy winter months (or horror of horrors, if it snows).[:p]

Got a Chevy Camaro rear end in it, however not so sure about this bit -

<font color="red"><font size="4">" Hand brake has been removed to accommodate the large rear brakes. "</font id="size4"></font id="red">

That could cause an issue over here with our MOT or if you live on a hill [:p]

Very nice car and I'd love to have it. But what I take from it is the fact that with all that work to the engine and only 240 horsepower makes a good argument for an LS1.
