Fantasy Wedge

Postby Steve-LPS-Thomas » 15 Feb 2012 13:47

Despite being fully equipped with TR7's I still look at everything everywhere that's for sale... it's an addiction I guess. So what would be your ideal "untimate" fantasy wedge??

Colour/Metallic/(non)Orig/Two tone??
DHC/FHC/Other??
Wheels/Interior??
Engine 2.0/V8/Other??
Bodykit/Kitcar(TR40!!)

Already got it. Although a TR8 coupe would be nice to round it out. Bob's TR7/V8 Quaker State car that was on sale last year for a quarter mil. would be nice to trailer queen to car shows (there's no race tracks around here since the natives squelched the proposed major racetrack/drag strip/oval/motocross/equestrian centre that would have rivaled anything in the Pacific Northwest all because it was determined to be on "culturally significant" ground a million dollars into the project).

To sit alongside my V8 DHC I would like :-

TR7 FHC, late model, solihull built with sunroof. Either red or gold with a tan interior, would have to be immaculate and totally standard. There's one out there somewhere with my name on it, I'll just have to be patient. [:)]

I have my fantasy Wedge already.[:D] But I would like a late model TR8 FHC with the sunroof and AC. I might even want an automatic so I could say it was the wife's Triumph.[;)]

Not that difficult my absolute number one ...

Number two and three are already in my possesion for 19 and 24 years respectively;
Two needs some fine tuning and some added lightness [8D]

Three ... well keep an eye on my weblog [B)]

And number four, for when I retire [:D]

Many years ago I saw the Sheaffer TRZ parked in the car park at
a car show in Romsey Hampshire. It was very rough and I would very
much doubt it is still around.

My ultimate fantasy wedge that's easy for me.
Genuine TR7 Sprint any colour as long as it's standard and original.

One day.

I think the Group 44 car would be hard to beat. Maybe a DHC version of the same...

If you look in "My Photos" you will see my fantasy wedge. Yes it's the red[ish] one, the 7 FHC.

I would not have just spent a little over $4,000 fitting an original but uprated, [ex USA} air conditioning system to her, if I didn't really love the old girl.
