Blown bulb that isn't.

Postby Bobbieslandy » 11 Sep 2010 14:35

I got round to finding out why my passenger side dipped beam doesn't come on. Main beam is fine, the pods raise and lower as they should and i couldn't find anything out of place. It couldn't be the bulb surely? it had only been in there a few weeks and only been used once to test it. Yup sure enough it was the bulb, it hadn't blown though, to be honest if you didn't stick a meter accross it you'd swear it was good to go. I guess if you're having lighting probs but the bulb looks fine, check it with a meter just in case because it might save you a lot of mucking about!

When I was cleaning all my electrical connections a few years ago I tested all bulbs with a meter. especially important with those in the instrument panel. You just never know.
