Track day ‘Open Pitlane 2009’

Postby pieterbakker » 21 Mar 2009 09:53

.

Saturday 14 March, I have taken the opportunity to visit the ‘Open Pitlane’ track day at the circuit Spa Francorchamps, a joint effort of Patrick Gassmann, Jan Luehn and Alain Defalle.

Alain is the organiser of the ‘Spa Six Hours’ and the ‘Spa Summer Classic’ and therefore quality guaranteed.

A host of historic, classic, youngtimers and modern sport cars could be found on track.

Only last week it snowed at Spa Francorchamps, but this weekend, the good weather and the convivial ambiance attracted many visitors.

Enjoy your racing,

What a terrific opportunity to soak up so much motorsport history & take your car for a spin on 1 of the most famous circuits in the world. Excellent pictures Pieter.

I would give my eye teeth to drive my TR around the Spa course despite the rather sobering clip from the movie on your write-up.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your friendly reaction.

Spa is one, but the Nordschleife is another.

Have a look at the video at;

Cheers, Pieter.
