40th Anniversary Tour 21st September 2014

Postby John Wood » 05 Feb 2014 20:48

I've just reached a small milestone on this forum of my 1000th post. It's quite fitting that I can announce the 40th Anniversary Tour is confirmed for Sunday 21st September. We have a great group of people organising what is going to be a great day. When the artwork is finalised John Clancy will be promoting the event. There will be limited places on the road run.

Thinking about coming along on this, sounds good. Will there be places organised to stay overnight Sat/Sun with safe parking for the cars?

That's all currently being investigated Andy.

The press release went out to the every UK classic car magazine editor on monday. It was pointed out to me last night that Practical Classics have already picked up on it and it's up on their Facebook page. That 'Wedgetastic' artwork has done the trick methinks.

Just to keep everyone up to date with the organizing of this event it is all proceeding apace. The relevant web pages are being set up, a hotel has been block booked near Speke for the Saturday night, the Sunday route is being finalized, special guests are being lined up and generally all is looking good.

Once we've thrashed out a few of the finer details the TR Register and Triumph Sports Six Club will be sent details and then the whole thing can go live and open to bookings. Shouldn't be long now.

Okay chaps and chapettes, get on with it! Open for bookings now. Note there is an advisory on there to contact TR Driver editor before hitting the 'Buy Now' button to ensure you're all booked in and nothing can go wrong. Should just be a formality at this stage.
