Looking for Rubber piece on my door.

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Looking for Rubber piece on my door.

Postby JSutton1 » 12 Mar 2008 11:39

I am having trouble locating a rubber piece that mounts between my door and the chassis. Wires are routed through it to the speaker in my door. It protects the wires and keeps the weather out. Looks like bellows. I have a picture but not sure how to get it up on this forum.

Anyone know where I can get one of these, either original replacement or a substitute?

Jim

Jim, just wanted to say that is one amazing looking rstoration. Your car has to be one of the shiniest TR7s I have ever seen! Good job[:)]

I am sure that one of the specialists on your side of the pond will be able to supply the rubber tube you want, but if you have no luck try Robsport or S&S over here. They are sure to be able to help.

I've found that many rubber parts not available elsewhere you can get from Robsport. I've ordered a number of them from them. If they don't have it, it's probably not available but they'll likely have a usable used part available. Try their website and/or email them.

Like your engine bay (I know it's a total rebuild). Most people ignore it and keep the hood down. I like mine up as I have one of the few TR7 FI's around and 99.9% of people have never seen the like here. Most people don't know you can make it look really presentable with out taking out the engine with the removal of a few parts, some degreasing spray and some taping and newspapers and a aeresol paint can.
