I never understood Rimmers making this kit.

The development, the work, the costs involved, the chance to make something special and they try and make it look like a bad kit car Ferrari, if your going to make a Ferrari lookalike then it needs to be a close match, they should have gone for a totally different look, their own design, like Mark Grinnall did.
The fact that it didn't sell well proves this and a couple of years ago they were trying to sell the moulds and design rights ( probably trying to recoup some money! )

The original TR7 styling, you either love it or you hate it, either way trying to turn one into a 'TR40' is (in my opinion) a waste of a TR7!! and I'm not a purist. But from a project side of things (not wanting to offend Chris!) then it could be a bit of fun??

Rimmers didnt develop the kit, they bought the rights to manufacture it from the original producers Eurosport.

Which ever way Rimmers came by the kit, it was surely a mistake, they should have stopped at kit number 3, which enhanced the look, but trying to make it look like a car it isn't, is for the TR7 a sad shame.
Yes, improvement is good, but disguise is bad, its shouldn't look like an Italian car (loosely speaking) its a British sports car and thats the way it should look!

Chris,if you win this,i know you'll do the thing properly.You can't
do something like this 'on the cheap',it's gotta be done well,or
theres no point.I have seen a very good TR40 which was awesome,and
i have seen them done on a shoe string - woefull.
