Roof down in November

Took the tr out today as it was nice here in Scotland[:D]
Went to the next town to check on the mini I just bought,
as it is getting some work done. Great to be able to get
the roof down in NOVEMBER in SCOTLAND [:0][:0][:0][:0]

Its hard for me to understand what its like being a sports car fan
in your climate. Here our winter days often get into the 20C+ area.

I did my aircraft carrier flying training with the RN, out of Scarpa
Flow [spelling], but they went to great lengths to make sure we
never got to drive a car up there. May be too many of us, who'd
never seen an icy road, were killing ourselves. Much more dangerous
than flying off carriers.

What are those wheels? They look very similar to my Performance
brand wheels, although mine are 13s, & standard studs.

A couple of those shots of your lovely car are spoiled for me, by
that wind farm. I wonder why I find it much more offensive than all
the other man built stuff? I suppose its what you're used to.

I think the wind farm is pretty cool. It looks better than a big steaming cooling tower or coal smoke pouring from stacks.

Nice shots.

I live in the Arizona desert, so it is finally cool enough get the DHC out and play.

It was a long hot summer. We treat summer like everyone else treats winter - we stay inside where the temp is ok. Today should be 82' (27' for those not in the U.S.).

I can brag for the next 6 months, but then when it gets hot again I will keep quiet.

My garage is on the southest corner of the house, so it gets very hot in the summer. Last summer the pilot light went out on the hot water heater (in garages in Arizona) and we had no "hot" water for 4 days. By being so hot in the garage, the water was heated without any gas. We didn't even know the water heater was not working.

This explains why I do not work on, or drive the Triumph in the summer.

That's one of the big advantages of the TR7 DHC, it's got a decent heater ... [:D]

beans thats a beut of a shot as well it reminds me of the cairngorms (scotland) driving away from the lecht towards glenshee only i drove on this road im my motorhome not as exitng but still just as breathtaking

everyone keep these shots coming........... it proves tr7 ownership isn't just about having to pick up up your tool box every time you pick up your car keys

To be honesty if a TR7 is properly sorted and maintained the only things to go wrong are due to wear. So it all depends on how you trash the car [:D]

Scottish-I had my roof down here in Pittsburgh PA/USA last night also...oh I forgot to mention,it was in my mom's garage,as I was putting the hardtop back on it![:o)] Our weather has been nothing but rainy and cold the last few weeks and I have resolved myself that it won't get any better before spring,so may as well have the cozy top and the added security it provides through now. Your camera is so detailed and your car looks so good,it almost looks like a toy model car against a backdrop or diorama! You should put a note on the picture "objects in picture really are bigger than they appear,lol

Beans-that pic is incredible,I mean the mountains (and of course the car!) Last time I was in mountains like that was California,and I wasn't fortunate enough to be in a TR7...though I plan on doing a cross country trip at some point in life.[:)] Well done,guys!

The pictures of your car are quite something.

I too, have a Grinnall in Persian Aqua. It leaves for Australia on the 14/12 thus expect it on the road sometime end Feb.

The wheels on the car are amazing. I have "alleycat" on mine. Could you advise what you have and were there any modifications required?
