Vacuum Diagram TR7

Postby cornhuskerfan71 » 25 Oct 2007 18:53

I'm in dire need of help. I am looking for the vacuum diagram for a '77 TR7. I already have what is in the Haynes manual and also have the British Victoria catalog but am still confused on a couple differant pieces. If anyone can help it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanx, Jerry

Could you be refering to the carburetor rubber diaphram on a Stromberg or the inner liner of the brake servo?

Sorry but that's the same diagram that's in the Hayne's repair manual.

What are the couple of different pieces your confused about? If you can be more specific I'm sure someone can post a picture (worth a thousand words.)

Problem is this, the car was wrecked 25 yrs ago and "kinda" put back together by a dummy that thought he knew what he was doin. My father bought it 25 yrs ago and it's been sittin in his garage. Thanx to father time, most of the vacuum lines have deteriorated and crumbled off and the others weren't even put back in place. Plus I am missing a couple of emmisions pieces like the anti run-on valve and the flame arrestor. (That I have found missing so far!) So I am having to put this back together relying on the Haynes manual and pics that are in my Victoria British catalog. If anyone has pics, gimme gimme gimme! Thanx for any and all help!

I'm no fan of the Haynes manual although I have one for my Integra. The original manual that jclay links to is the best, just print out the pages as you need them.

BTW: Best manual ever written/

How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step-By-Step Procedures for the Complete Idiot

No pictures, just a few line drawings, humorous read, the novice can overhaul an engine or change a clutch.

Wish some one did a book like that for the TR7.

Well If you have an early dual Stromberg model, there are 2 flame traps, so right there there are 2 connections to that are out of the way. Some pics would be helpful. The Viccie Brit catalog was all I needed to figure it out. Get yourself an anti run on valve too.
