TR7 Interior mirror

Postby skertonman » 10 Dec 2018 20:56

Can anyone suggest an alternative interior mirror, the dipping mechanism on mine has stopped "tilting".

Being low in the 7 means getting very bright lights in the mirror. How about an auto dimming unit?

Thanks, but being a lazy so and so, I was hoping for a straight forward swap, and was hoping that someone knew if any other mirrors would fit.

Mine has never worked. I just manually adjust it the odd time I drive at night. They are available but for a little more you can get a mirror with integral recording HD camera integral plus rear facing camera with recording front and back with picture snap and auto record if you are parked and car is disturbed. Doesn't seem right.

I personally would go for a new rear view mirror with the reverse camera in it.

Phil, please tell me what a camera in a rear view mirror would be able to see that I can't see myself, looking in the rear view mirror?

Or is it a rear mounted camera that screens it's pictures in the mirror?

My ladies last 3 cars have had reversing cameras, & I don't find them much use. They definitely restrict my ability to see if a car in the next row of a car park is starting to back out just as I do. Of course it could be an old dog unable to learn new tricks causing that problem.

Oh yes Hasbeen, that is what I meant a rear mounted camera that screens it's pictures in the mirror.

We have one in the wifes company car and it is a great little feature.
