Oil capacity

Postby Hasbeen » 14 Jun 2017 03:19

Next time you are doing an oil change on your 7, just be thankful they didn't find the gearbox & diff from my Fordson Major tractor in the parts bin. Knowing Triumph, if they had, they would probably have fitted them to cars.

I hadn't done it for a while, & thought I'd give the old thing a birthday surprise, & change her a transmission oil. Well it was me who got the surprise.

I went to town & bought 50 litres of oil, then went back & got another 20 to finish the job. I'll never complain about the cost of maintenance of the 7 or 8 again.

Did it still find its way inside your overalls and up to your elbow?
