door glass droppoing

After 10 years of no problem I suddenly have a problem with my 8s' (roadster) drivers window that rises cockeyed. The problem is that the nylon roller that runin the U shaped channel fastened to the inner door panel keeps removing itself from the channel. This then means that the bottom glass channel does not rise correctly. Do any of you any ideas to solve this one or is the nylon roller too worn?

Do you have the stop fitted to the inside of the door?

Yes I have it firmly attached to the door panel. At the moment the nylon roller is situated next to it between it & the door lock side,
