Hi,

I'm new and have bought the Java car. It is my first TR7 and seems to be a very good car.

I'm collecting it next week on a trailer.

Welcome to the Forum. It looks a nice car, in the colour I fancy too. Ask any queries here, there is a wealth of knowledge on these cars. There is also a search function (top right) for particular topics.
If you need a manual check out jclay's posts, there are links at the bottom and he has loads of other useful info and procedures.
Enjoy the car!

Welcome to forum. I too have an "eBay" car. Paid big bucks for a sight unseen but it was worth every penny as it turned out.

Thank you Alan,

I will put some photos up when I get it.

My plan is to get it on the road ASAP, I don't think it will need too much.

I then want to get the car correct, I'm not sure if the tail panel should be black for example.

I'm quite exited about it!

Welcome to the forum and the joy of TR7 ownership.

This TR7 would of had the Black rear panel.

I'm pleased to hear your going to keep her original and get her on the road asap.

It would be great if you could manage to get her up and running and along to Billing for the TR Drivers club national in July. Another Speke car is always very welcome.

Roy

Hi Roy,

It will be done before then, I'm going to pick it up Tuesday and start the resurrection straight away. The tail panel might even be the right colour by July!

I'm in Oxford so I will bring it to Billing as it's not far.

Thanks for the comments chaps!

Ok; bit of an update. If forgot I'm doing something Tuesday so I've just organised a trailer to collect it Monday. That means, if it is a straightforward recommisioning, it will be MOT'd and running by the weekend. [:D]

I am going to sign up for the TRDC today and will put photos up when I collect it.

I don't know a great deal about TR7s in terms of build differences so all comments relating to things that may be wrong on the car (tail panel for example) are welcome.

One thing I do think is wrong are the seats. They are a green check pattern, shouldn't they be plain at this age?
