Amazing event, did it myself in 2008. You taking part this year Theo? I remember you were in the 2008 run.

I see there is a new stop at Sixpenny Handley Village Hall this year, that seems to be instead of Pimperne Village Hall. Not very far from me but I shall be away that weekend, great shame, would love to get along to see the entrants come through.

No postcode quoted for Sixpenny Handley Hall so for the benefit of any participants it is SP5 5NJ. I guess you will be coming in from the A354, if so then the village hall is at the far end of the village, take care driving through on the B3081 it is quite narrow in places through the village. Do you stay on the B3081 towards Shaftesbury after that stop? If you do then you will go down Zig Zag Hill - make sure you still have some brakes left after nearly 2000 miles [:)]

Good luck to anyone taking part.

I'm entered this year as well in the Grinnall - despite the gearbox having gone pop this week creating a bit of a last minute rush to get it swapped and sorted in time!

Its my 3rd RBRR and a different car on each one so really looking forward to this grueling event as ever!

My sponsorship page also resides here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/trregister

Would be great to see some friendly faces at the control stops Beans has listed above!

Was again a great event, and team 44 even managed to finish precisely on time after 48:52 hours and 3207 kilometres [8D]
Pictures to follow once my new computer is installed and all pictures, data and software are transferred.

I was in a blue FHC with no stickers by the end [:(!] I had used magnetic ones as the paint is rubbish. Managed to recover the last one which tried to escape on the M5 when it got stuck on the wiper. No real issues apart from spending most of the time on the bump stops when the fuel tank was full. We finished about 7:15. Good event, I think my co-driver didn't realise how hard it would be, he was going to work on Monday but didn't make it[:D]

We made it in my Grinnall!! Car ran brilliantly all the way round - only small issue was at Skiach at 5am Saturday when the crank oil seal dropped out - but an easy fix and it happened just before a control so we were soon on our way again.

Amazing to see all the TR Register guys turn out to cheer us on along the way! Especially at the office at Didcot for the last control stop before the end.

This run never gets any less hardcore though... took until Wednesday to recover and this was my 3rd successful finish. Can't wait until 2014 to do it all again though!

My updates can still be seen on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/djwaynes
