Rally Sprint Colours

Hi Guys, anyone help with the colours used on the early white sprint rally cars. The various colour reference photos I have seem to show a different blue colour to the one used on the later V8 cars. Any advice appreciated.

My understanding from when MYE778P was returned to Sprint Rally colours. The blue looks different as apparently it comes out lighter on a white background.
It would need thicker paint (more coats) to make the blue appear the same as on the red V8 livery cars. No point in adding weight to get the colours to match. Arguably the blue over white is more correct shade anyway as it came first.

I think it was called Air Force Blue, Howard. Steve will be able to confirm/correct this, I am sure.

Howard, the rally car colours are British standard colours rather than BL colours. Tony is right it is called air force blue.

Hi H, I've still got some aircraft blue left. It's in the garage somewhere, will have to ask Sam where she put it after tidying up [:)]
