Where is this?

Postby whitenviro » 07 Apr 2012 03:14

I found this pic on Flickr:

A pretty sad looking bunch, but taken just last year some time. The photographer has a couple other pics of them in his photostream too. Anyone know where it is?

This is the premises of a company called S&S Preparations in Lancashire, England.

They are one of the foremost experts in TR7/8 restoration/parts supply and are very well known on this forum.

Far from being a sad sight I think it's heartening to see cars that if not restored by S&S they will at least provide invaluable spares going forward.

Regards.

Actually I'm just waiting on an order from them, one of those cars supplied a transmission vent and cover (no longer available).[:p]

I knew it was no casual collection; it had to be someone specializing in them. And I was pretty sure someone here would know who! It would be fun to see that yard in person, but its about eight time zones away from here.

I also see there's a 67 Mustang hiding in the back row...

I wonder why the old Vauxhall Carlton is stuck in a corner!

Think it is a Senator due to the rear lights - a nice 3.0 ltr engine ?
