shepton mallet

Postby nervousnewowner » 11 Feb 2012 18:59

well just got back from sheptom mallet auto jumble, no tr7's there in the car park and inside was totally a ford show, but did manage to see a few things advertised for tr7's, and also managed to pick up the march 93 issue of practical classics [:D], why? because it had the tr7/8 buyers guide in it, and some great retro ads triumph orientated, along with an advert from grinnal, and a worrying letter in the letters page from america, mentioning, and remember this was a 1993 issue, some new rulings there such as unleaded dissappearing from the pumps, garages charging to dispose of your old tyres, cellulose paint production reduction and older cars being classed as polluters and people being made to limit the number of old cars they owned..........

we moan about all those things here now but i must say to my knowledge a lot of them are recent introductions here,,,,, everything catches up in the end doesn't it.......

and got to chat to sam glover from practical classics again!!! yes sad i know......

next show......... stoneleigh, cant wait.......[:D][:D]

Wow, talk about us being separated by a common language.

When I opened this thread, I expected to be reading about a new tool, suitable for removing our water pumps.

I was there as well with Tony Francis as it's not far from him.

Like you say nothing much TR7 related but first show of the year
and I enjoyed it all the same.

Next stop Stonleigh.
