I have discovered another TR7 owner in New Zealand and he has no dipstick. Car is currently being put back on the road after years in storage.
Does anyone have a standard dipstick for an SU carbed car that I can have? (not sure if the SU carbed and Stromberg/Zenith carbed cars have the same length dipstick). I am aware that you just fill the engine with the correct amount of oil, run it to fill the filter then cut the tube to length so that the full mark sits at full on the dip stick.
Hey, I will be happy to pay...... at present I have found the short, early dipstick off a real early engine but it would be nice to have the correct item.
Just keen to get another TR7 on the road in NZ
