I've found powder coating to be good value for money. I've just sent my subframe, bottom rad mounting, front antiroll bar & 2 brake disc shields to be blasted & powder coated, all for £40. By the time you've bought primer & top coat and spent hours on prep it's not worth painting. I'm a bit wary of parts being damaged by the blasting so I do paint some bits myself, but for basic lumps of metal it's a no brainer.
