The sockets to remove rounded bolts/nuts as noted by FI Spyder are Irwin Bolt Grip removers. They are available from Amazon etc.

That's the type I have. I also have a set that has a series of rods in them to get a form fit around the head, these rods then lock under torque. Fortuneately (unfortunately) I haven't had a stripped bolt head to try them out on. I bought them cheap on sale at Canadian Tire Sale Flyer to keep the dreaded bolt head rounder oger away.

My father in law gave me a socket with pins in it. I didn't know what it was for so chucked it in a toolbox. I'll go look for it!

I am lucky. He's a top bloke. Bit old now or he'd be under the car with me. Retired engineer so loves messing about with stuff. My mrs won't let him help. Overly protective!! 80s the new 60.
