Are any of these Scottish cars going to Tatton Park in Cheshire? or will I have to wait 'til Billing to see them? I reckon they'd 'mop-up' all the silver wear at Tatton if they came!
There's that nice green again, on Zoe's car. Looks like a new paint job too?! I hope it makes it to Billing! I,ve checked my camping gear, most of it fits in the TR7's boot, but not the gas bottle. I need a smaller one. I've cut 1 inch off the 8 poles on my wind breaker, that fits in now!! I found a receipt in my TR7 for a camp site in Switzerland (1981) 2 persons + sportscar, so I won't be the first to use it for camping! Cheers fixed-head.

Do you have any problems folding the roof up with the aero bar on [?]

I can't decide weather to put mine back on the car or not [?] also need to get the hood cover tailored.

Hi,

Its tight but does go in ok, had to have the hood cover / bag / tonneu cover had to be custom made but if handy with a neddle and cotton you could modify the standrad one. The biggest advantage with the roll bar is that it stiffens up the shell no end.

I haven't stayed at Billing since the early 90's. What are the facilities like nowdays? I'll be camping with my wife but we don't want to bring a load of kit that we don't need as space is a bit limited. Is there an organised BBQ or is it DIY on disposable stuff. Is there any food outlets for breakfast & lunch on Sunday? I won't bother cooking on a single gas burner if there's stuff to buy a short stroll away. [:)]

Andy, last year was the first time I had camped at Billing, rather than a day trip.

There is a new building on site where there is a swimming pool & a large bar area with outdoor seating by the lake, you can buy food there. We also walked out of the site & round the corner to a nice pub to have a meal in the beer garden, very pleasant. There are shops on site for day to day items like tea, coffee,, ice creams, soft drinks etc.

We managed very well with just a portable single burner camping stove for making a cuppa when wanted, although we did make ourselves a bacon buttie for breakfast as well.

That being said, there were so many portable barbies in use on the Saturday night last year, not just the TR club but all across the site, that you could have forgiven for thinking that the Royal Navy was nearby practicing laying a smoke screen[:D]

So, if you can't fit the barbie in don't worry, you won't starve!

Been speaking to Scottish Grinnall (billy) today

Kenny and john will be on holiday but billy wants to go (we will wait and see)

we normally have dinner in the pub and breakfast in the Indian restaurant in the morning full English breakfast.

I don't suppose there will be one available for kids will there as my little lad now three is turning into a bit of a triumph nut for some strange reason (might have something to do with him owning a TR7 since he was 7months old)

and he is set on winning a prize again this year bless him........

Gaz, I noticed that in the normal T shirts we have XS think that must mean extra small.
